- General description: Amberlite™ IR120 is a strongly acidic cation exchange resin which may be used for the recovery of toxic metals.[1] It may be used in column chromatography. It is required for a ion-exchange resin to swell in the solvent for a higher rate of sorption and to exchange ions.[2]
