Description

  • General description: Sodium fluoride (NaF) is a metallic halide. It has been reported as dental caries preventive agent.[1] It is the most widely employed chemical preservative for the preservation of glucose in blood.[2] It has been reported to stabilize the hepatic microsomal glucose-6-P phosphohydrolase enzyme.[3]
  • Application: Sodium fluoride may be employed as a fluorination agent in the synthesis of aromatic and aliphatic fluorides.[4] It may be used to prepare the lysis buffer.[5]
