Description

  • General description: Zinc chloride in combination with 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride comprises a molten salt, which is employed in the electrodeposition studies of zinc.[1]
  • Application: Zinc Chloride may be employed as a catalyst in Knoevenagel condensation of carbonyl compounds with active methylene group containing reagents.[2] It may be used in the preparation of porous carbon nanofibers, useful in the fabrication of efficient electrodes for supercapacitors.[3] It may be used as a catalyst in the preparation of poly(propylene fumarate).[4]
