- General description: IGEPAL® CA-630 is a nonionic, non-denaturing detergent suitable for solubilization, isolation and purification of membrane protein complexes. It is chemically indistinguishable from Nonidet P-40.[1]
- Application: IGEPAL® CA-630 has been used:In phosducin co-precipitation assay for pull down of Epitope-Tagged HAGγ1 and HAGγ1C71S[2]As a component of lysis buffer for cell culture and sample preparation for MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinases) analysis, Immunoblotting[3][4]In the extraction of cells in Oil Red O staining procedure to visualise lipid formation in cells during adipogenesis[4]As a component of lysis buffer containing Tris-HCl, NaCl and EDTA for immunoblotting experiment[5]
- Other Notes: Nonionic, non-denaturing detergent
- Quality: Chemically indistinguishable from Nonidet P-40, which is no longer commercially available.
- Caution: May become turbid on storage; a clear product can be obtained on heating to 40°C.
