Description
- General description: Ammonium acetate exists as a white crystal. It is prepared from acetic acid and ammonia by neutralization to pH 7.0. It is widely used in analytical chemistry, drugs and in textile dyeing.[1]
- Application: Ammonium acetate has been used to prepare eluents for UPLC-MS/MS and HPLC-MS/MS to compare the matrix effect of 9 pharmaceutical compounds in aqueous environmental samples.[2] It has also been used as an additive to improve detection of phosphopeptides using MALDI-MS.[3]
