Description

  • General description: Methacrylicacid (MAA) is a liquid carboxylic acid that is colorless, viscous, and solublein most organic solvents. It is generated on a large scale in industrialapplications as a precursor to its esters, particularly methyl methacrylate(MMA).
  • Application: Methacrylic acid is used in the graft copolymerization with jute fiber.[1]
  • Analysis Note: Assay (GC, area%): ≥ 99 %Density (d 20 °C/ 4 °C): 1.013 - 1.015Identity (IR): passes test
