- Application: Manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate has been used:as trace element in the fungal complete medium[1]as a supplement in the culture medium for cochlear organotypic culture[2][3]to determine its in vivo antiviral activity against herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1), vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) and vaccinia virus in mice[4]
