- Application: Qualified for use as a titration acid in insect cell culture applications.Phosphoric acid has been used:as a component of preservative in yeast-sucrose food for maintaining Drosophila melanogaster[2]in the preparation of triethylamine phosphate stock solution[3]as a component in the preparation of protein reagent[4]to adjust pH during the preparation of phosphate buffer solution[5]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Phosphoric acid is commonly used in fertilizer industry. It is also used in the manufacture of insecticide and pesticide.[1]
- Other Notes: Concentrated phosphoric acid is approx. 85% H3PO4 (aqueous).
