- General description: Chlorpromazine hydrochloride (CPZ) is an antipsychotic drug which belongs to phenothiazine neuroleptic group. It is used in treating mental or personality disorders.[1]
- Application: CPZ may have been used as standard for the determination of antipsychotic drug at a glassy carbon electrode using chemometric methods, such as classical least squares (CLS), principal component regression (PCR) and partial least squares (PLS).[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Chlorpromazine demonstrates cytotoxic and antiproliferative activity against leukemic cells, but does not affect the viability of normal lymphocytes.
