  • Application: Phthalic acid may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in the following:Angelicae Radix and Ligustici Rhizoma using high performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection (HPLC-PDA) followed by liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and capillary electrophoresis (CE) analyses.[3]Nigella sativa[2] and Solanum nigrum[1] using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
