- General description: This Standard Reference Material is a solution of ethanol in water with a nominal concentration of 0.02 % by mass. A single unit of SRM 2891 contains five 2-milliliter ampoules, each with an approximate 1.2 mL of the solution. For more information, please refer to the SDS and COA.SRM 2891_certSRM 2891_SDS
- Application: Ethanol-water solution is intended for use with calibrating instruments and techniques used for the determination of ethanol in blood.
- Features and Benefits: The certified values for ethanol are provided, that are metrological traceability to the International System of Units (SI) derived unit for mass fraction, expressed as a percentage and determined by gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC-FID) and Karl Fischer analysis. Expiration details and instructions for use, storage and handling are provided on the NIST certificate.
