Description

  • General description: Each unit of SRM 3600 contains a single glassy carbon coupon specimen measuring approximately 10 mm x 10 mm x 1 mm in dimension. For more information, please refer to the SDS and COA.SRM 3600_certSRM 3600_SDS
  • Application: This Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended for the scattering intensity calibration of small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) instruments. SAXS measurements characterize the microstructure and nanostructure of heterogeneous material systems: specifically, the size distributions of microscale and nanoscale features and, with scattering intensity calibration, their volume fractions or number concentrations, and their surface areas.
  • Features and Benefits: NIST certified values for absolute X-ray scattering intensity, are expressed as the X-ray differential scattering cross-section, dΣ/dΩ, per unit sample volume of glassy carbon, with respect to the magnitude of the scattering vector, Q . Expiration details, instructions for use, storage, and handling are provided on the NIST certificate.
  • Other Notes: Example analytes are listed below as a reference. Please download a current certificate at nist.gov/SRM for current analytes and certified values.
  • Legal Information: NIST is a registered trademark of National Institute of Standards and Technology
