- Osteocalcin (human) Native Protein, RP-43153, from Invitrogen
- Osteocalcin belongs to the osteocalcin/matrix Gla-protein family and constitutes 1-2% of the total bone protein
- It binds strongly to apatite and calcium
- Gamma-carboxyglutamate residues are formed by vitamin K dependent carboxylation
- These residues are essential for the binding of calcium
- RP-43153 contains native human Osteocalcin protein
- RP-43153 may be used as a positive control in many immunological assays
- The RP-43153 protein molecular weight is ∽5.8 kDa
- The product is of human blood/plasma origin
