- General description: L-Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin found in various foodstuffs. Benefits of vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, hyperpigmentation, skin protection, anti-aging, iron absorption, and red blood cell production. It is also useful in the biosynthesis of collagen, L-carnitine, and neurotransmitters.[1][2][3][4]
- Application: L-Ascorbic acid has been used as an analytical interfering substance in glycated albumin (GA) enzymatic assay.[5]
