Description

  • General description: A water-soluble and odorless disulfide-reducing agent that is more stable and effective than DTT. TCEP reduces even the most stable water-soluble alkyl disulfides at pH 4.5 within 5 minutes. TCEP is also capable of functioning as a reducing agent even in the pH range of 1.5-8.5. It is more resistant to air-oxidation as compared to DTT.
  • Application: A Study on Thiol-Michael Addition to Semi-Synthetic Elastin-Hyaluronan Material for Electrospun Scaffolds.: Investigates the application of TCEP hydrochloride in the thiol-Michael addition reactions to develop semi-synthetic elastin-hyaluronan materials, which are pivotal for creating electrospun scaffolds used in biomedical engineering (Laezza et al., 2024). Target Recognition-Triggered Peroxidase-Mimicking Activity Depression in Homochiral Nanochannels for Identifying Cystine Enantiomers.: Highlights the use of TCEP hydrochloride in the development of a novel method for identifying cystine enantiomers through target recognition-triggered peroxidase-mimicking activity depression in nanochannels (Xu et al., 2023).
  • Packaging: Packaged under inert gas
  • Warning: Toxicity: Corrosive (L)
  • Reconstitution: Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). TCEP retains stability when stored at an acidic or alkaline pH; avoid storage at pH 7.0-8.0. Also avoid exposure to high concentrations of phosphate ions (>150 mM). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
  • Other Notes: Due to the nature of the Hazardous Materials in this shipment, additional shipping charges may be applied to your order. Certain sizes may be exempt from the additional hazardous materials shipping charges. Please contact your local sales office for more information regarding these charges.
