Description
- Biochem/physiol Actions: PChcPC is a sterol modified phospholipid (SML) known to maintain the stability of bilayers. They do not freely interchange as cholesterol does between the membranes. This new class of phospholipids provides a new tool for biophysical studies on membrane. This may enhance the process of drug delivery mediated by liposome. Especially in organs, prior to the removal of free cholesterol from bilayers of blood, skin or lung.[1]
