- General description: Nonyl β-D-glucopyranoside is a nonionic surfactant among a small number of surfactants found to be useful for the solubilization and crystallization of a large number of biological membrane proteins. [1]
- Application: Nonyl β-D-glucopyranoside has been used in a study to assess the structure and molecular fluctuations of n-alkyl-β-d-glucopyranoside micelles. [1] It has also been used in a study to investigate enantiomer separation of drugs by micellar electrokinetic chromatography. [2]
