- General description: Decanoyl chloride enhances the activity of proleather from Bacillus sp. during the synthesis of poly(lactic acid) in organic solvents[1]. Decanoyl chloride is used as a reactive acylating agent in organic synthesis. It is also employed in the formation of amides and esters.[2]
- Application: Decanoyl chloride was used in the synthesis of oligomers composed of alternating 2,6-diaminopyridine and 2,6-pyridinedicarbonyl units[3].
