Description
- Application: (+)-Camphor-10-sulfonic acid may be used as a starting material to synthesize 10-iodocamphor.[1] (±)-S-methyl-S-phenylsulfoximine can be resolved using it as a chiral resolving agent to form the (-)-form in high enantiomeric purity.[2] Polyaniline (PAni) doped with (+)-camphor-10-sulfonic acid forms electrically conductive polymer nanofibers, which are excellent ammonia gas sensors.[3]
- Other Notes: Reagent used for the resolution of bases; use as mobile phase additive for LC separations[4][5]; Reagent used for crystallization-induced asymmetric transformations[6][7]
