  • General description: ω-Pentadecalactone is a macrocyclic lactone that can be used as a flavoring agent and fragrance ingredient due to its musk flavor/odor.[1][2] It occurs naturally in angelica root oil.[3]
  • Application: Simple magnesium alkoxides: synthesis, molecular structure, and catalytic behaviour in the ring-opening polymerization of lactide and macrolactones and in the copolymerization of maleic anhydride and propylene oxide.: Examines the catalytic uses of ψ-pentadecalactone in polymer synthesis, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing polymer properties and industrial applications (Wannipurage et al., 2023).
