- Application: AMIM-Cl may be used: As a solvent to dissolve cellulose during the preparation of regenerated cellulose materials.[1]As a solvent for the acetylation of cornhusk cellulose to form cornhusk cellulose acetates (CCAs).[3]As a plasticizer for cornstarch to form AMIM-Cl-plasticized starch film.[4]
