Description

  • General description: Selenium powder is a fine, powdery substance made up of small particles of the element selenium, often produced by the reduction of selenium oxide. Selenium powder is grey or silvered-colored and may have a metallic sheen that may appear reddish in color. This product is passed through a 100-mesh sieve, indicating that the particles are small and have a diameter of around 150 micrometers or less, and ensuring the powder is fine and easy-to-handle.
  • Application: Se is used in the synthesis of CdSe, which is consequetively used to modulate the photoresponse of quantum dot solar cells by varying the size and shape of semiconductor nanostructures.[1]
