Description

  • General description: Glassy carbon shows only short range order in its structure. Photoacoustic doppler effect from the suspension of spherical carbon particles was investigated.[1] Glassy carbon exhibits a specific conductivity of 700Scm-1. 4
  • Application: Amorphous carbon may be used to develop zero temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) based systems. [2] Glassy carbon has been used as a catalyst support for bimetallic Rh–ReOx. [3] It may be used to enhance the accuracy of infrared (IR) surface temperature measurements on micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). [4]
