- Application: Potassium tetraborate tetrahydrate can be used:As an electrolyte for electrochemical water splitting reaction. The addition of K2B4O7 · 4H2O enhances the oxygen evolution activity of the catalyst.[1] To synthesize carbon foams with hierarchical pores, for supercapacitors. K2B4O7 · 4H2O helps to tune the pore structure of carbon foams.To prepare green formulation for the removal of pyrite(FeS2) scales from oil and gas tubings.[2]
