- General description: The Human ANGPTL4 (Angiopoietin-like 4) ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human ANGPTL4 in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.

- Application: For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.Human angiopoietin-like protein 4 (ANGPTL4) ELISA kit has been used for the quantitative measurement of ANGPTL4 in serum[1] and urinary samples.[2]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Angiopoietin like 4 (ANGPTL4) possesses a characteristic large fibrinogen/angiopoietin like domain.[3] It inhibits lipoprotein lipase and thus increases plasma triglyceride levels.[4][5] The protein regulates the uptake of free fatty acids in fasting and fed conditions.[4] ANGPTL4 is also involved in homeostasis, insulin sensitivity and apoptosis of vascular endothelial cells. It has been reported to have a role in atherosclerosis and may modulate inflammatory responses.[6][3]
