Description

  • General description: The Mouse Shh-N (Sonic Hedgehog N Terminus) ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse Shh-N in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.
  • Immunogen: Recombinant Mouse Sonic Hedgehog (N-terminus)
  • Application: For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.Mouse Shh-N ELISA Kit has been used to measure serum sonic hedgehog (Shh) level.[1]
  • Biochem/physiol Actions: Sonic hedgehog (Shh) is a secreted glycoprotein involved in embryonic morphogenic development of several tissues. It has a role in fracture healing and regeneration.[2][3] In the canonical pathway, the protein associates with its receptor Patched (Ptc-1), de-represses Smoothened (Smo) and activates the Gli family of transcription factors.[3] Mutations in the Shh pathway have been linked to developmental diseases and cancer.[4] Shh plays a vital role in axon growth and guidance throughout the brain development. Shh stimulates neurite outgrowth by overcoming neurite growth inhibitory environment associated with glial scar.[3]
