Description

  • General description: This high-activity recombinant alkaline phosphatase has a minimum Specific Activity of ≥ 15,000 U/mg (measured at 37 °C), and a minimum purity of ≥ 95% by HPLC.No animal-derived components are used in the production process. This mitigates the risk of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) and other animal-caused infections. This animal component free (ACF) recombinant alkaline phosphatase guarantees superior lot-to-lot consistency and eliminates BSE risk.
  • Application: Alkaline phosphatase is used for conjugation to antibodies and other proteins for ELISA, Western blotting, and histochemical detection.
  • Unit Definition: One unit hydrolyzes 1.0 μmole of p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at pH 9.8 (DEA) at 37 deg C.
  • Physical form: Solution in 3 M NaCl with triethanolamine, pH 7.5
