- Application: Potassium ethoxide can be used:As a catalyst for transesterification reactions for the synthesis of biodiesel.[1][2]To synthesize nitrogen doped carbon nano-sheets to be used as an anode in sodium ion batteries.[3]To promote the arylation reaction of unactivated arenes to synthesize biaryl compounds.[4]As a precursor for the synthesis of thin films of (Na0.5K0.5)NbO3 (NKN)[5] and K3Li2Nb5O15 (KLN).[6]For ethoxylation of p-chloronitrobenzene in the presence of phase transfer catalysts.[7]
