- Application: Tetrabutylammoniumhydroxide 30-hydrate (TBAOH) can be used as:A catalyst in the hydroxyalkylation reaction of phenols with cyclic carbonates to synthesize aryl β-hydroxyethylethers.A base for the selective degradation of lignins to monomeric aromatics.A reactant to synthesize hydroxyfuroxan tetrabutylammonium salts by reacting with nitrofuroxans.It can also be used in the solvothermal synthesis of SNS (simple nanoscroll structures) and INS (intercalated nanoscrolls) hexaniobate nanoscrolls.
