- General description: Tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP) is a quaternary ammonium salt, mainly used as electrolyte.
- Application: TBAP has been used as solvent in preparing standard stock solutions, for HPLC analysis of Sudan azo-dyes food samples.[1] It may be used as an electrophoretic buffer to rinse the capillary for the nonaqueous capillary electrophoresis (NACE) determination of atropine, anisodamine, and scopolamine in Flos daturae plant extract.[2]
