Description

  • PA5-33240 is suitable for use as a negative control reagent for the measurement of non-specific binding of mouse monoclonal antibodies of isotype IgG2a in human tissue
  • This antibody may not be suitable for intracellular staining on some cell types
  • The antibody recognizes a rat cell surface marker, and therefore cannot be used as a negative control in this species
  • This product is routinely tested in flow cytometry on rat splenocytes to confirm antibody activity and on human whole blood to test for suitability as a negative control
  • Test results have shown that PA5-33240 is also suitable for use as a negative control with bovine, ovine, porcine, equine, canine, lapine and guinea-pig tissues
  • Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water
  • After reconstitution, store product undiluted at 4oC in the dark
  • For FACS analysis, use 10 μL of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10^6 cells in 100 μL
  • Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody that is produced by B cells in response to an antigen
  • It is the second most abundant IgG subtype in the serum and plays a crucial role in the adaptive immune response
  • Mouse IgG2a is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains, and it is involved in opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
  • It is also involved in the regulation of immune responses, including the activation of T cells and the inhibition of B cell activation
  • Mouse IgG2a is widely used in research and diagnostic applications, including ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry
  • It is also used in therapeutic applications, such as immunotherapy and vaccine development.
