- RP-43128 contains native human Factor Va protein
- RP-43128 may be used as a positive control in many immunological assays
- The RP-43128 protein molecular weight is ∽168 kDa
- RP-43128 has an Extinction Coefficient (E^1% 1cm, 280 nm) of 17.4 and shows a specific activity of 3320 U/mg
- This specific activity was determined by a Factor V clotting assay, where 1 U (unit) is equivalent to the Factor V activity in 1 ml of normal human plasma
- The product is of human blood/plasma origin
- Although the starting material was tested prior to initiation of the manufacturing process, and was found negative or nonreactive for anti-HIV-1/2, HIV-1 antigen(s), HBsAg, STS, anti-HCV, anti-HBcore and anti-HTLV I & II, extreme caution should be used when handling this material as there is a margin of error in all tests, and testing does not always disclose pathogens or other harmful substances contained in blood/plasma products
