- Biochem/physiol Actions: L-Arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid, that play a vital role in the production of nitric oxide. It acts as a precursor for the synthesis of polyamines, agmatine and urea. L-Arginine is usually essential in children and non-essential in adults.[4]
