Description
- General description: Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) is an isotonic buffer solution. This water-based salt solution is made up of disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride and, in some preparations, potassium chloride and potassium dihydrogen phosphate. PBS is generally used in biological research.[1]
- Application: It has also been used for the dilution of capture antibody during α-hemolysin (Hla) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).[2]
- Components: Sodium chloride, 145 mM (0.85%) in phosphate buffer, 150 mM
