- General description: cis-Jasmone is one of the key volatile flavor compounds in different kinds of tea such as green tea[1], Oolong tea[2], jasmine tea[3] and Tie Guanyin tea.[4] It is also the main odor constituent of jasmine oil.[5] In plants, cis-Jasmone acts as an activator of defense during an insect attack or mechanical damage.[6][7]
