[1]Difluoroacetic acid can be used asdifluoromethylating reagent for the direct C−H difluoromethylation ofheteroaromatic compounds.[2]
- Application: Used in the preparation of 2-difluoromethylbenzimidazoles, -oxazoles and -thiazoles from ortho-substituted anilines mediated by triphenylphoshine.[3]
