  • General description: Beryllium oxide is a ceramic material with a unique combination of high electrical resistance and dielectric strength with high thermal conductivity. It also shows high transmission in a wide spectral range from VUV(vacuum UV) through IR. It is widely used in the field of optical devices and electronic transistors.
  • Application: Beryllium oxide can be used as an additive to fabricate uranium dioxide kernels(nuclear fuel) with enhanced thermal conductivity.
