Description
- General description: 3-cyanopropyltriethoxysilane (CPTS) is a trialkoxysilane with a reactive cyanoalkyl group attached to the silicon atom.[1]
- Application: CPTS is used in the synthesis of titanium based sorbent for solid phase extraction(SPE) of aromatic amines from river water.[2] It finds its application in the development of organically modified silicate films coated on gold electrodes for the detection of ametryn.[3] It may also be used to modify the surface characteristics of biopolymers by using polar functionalities for the analysis of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs) in river water.[4]
