Description

  • The SPINeasy DNA Pro Kit for Feces efficiently isolates high-quality gDNA from stool samples
  • Fecal samples present distinct sample processing challenges due to sample composition which is largely dependent on diet and may include fibers, undigested particles, bilirubin, complex polysaccharides, and lipids
  • These compounds may impair sample homogenization, decreasing both the quantity and quality of the extracted DNA
  • The SPINeasy DNA Pro Kit for Feces was designed to address these challenges
  • Samples are optimally homogenized by bead beating with new Lysing Matrix YB tubes, Lysis Buffer SF1, and FastPrep instruments
  • Contaminants, including humic acids and RNA, are efficiently removed by treatment with Buffer SF2, while Buffer SF3 enables the specific binding of DNA to spin columns, without the need for RNase treatment
  • The final DNA product is ready for downstream applications, including long fragment PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing (16S and whole genome), without the need for further inhibitor removal steps.
