Description

  • General description: Human phosphatase-substrate networks are mapped based on the literature and protein-protein interaction (PPI) database. Based on gene expression data, the possible network of phosphatase-substrate-kinase is predicted.[1]
  • Application: Phosphatase is a chromogenic substrate for use with alkaline and acid phosphatase ELISA procedures. It is been used for the colorimetric detection of CTB fusion proteins[2]. Produces a soluble end product that is yellow in color and can be read spectrophotometrically at 405 nm. The pNPP reaction may be stopped with 3 N NaOH and read at 405 nm.
  • Quantity: Contains 40 mg substrate per tablet
  • Preparation Note: Dissolve tablets to the desired concentration in either of the following buffers: 0.1 M glycine, pH 10.4, with 1 mM MgCl2 and 1 mM ZnCl2 or 1 M diethanolamine, pH 9.8, with 0.5 mM MgCl2. Typically, a pNPP concentration of 1 mg/mL is used.
  • Other Notes: Substrate for the determination of acid and alkaline phosphatases.
