Description
- ABS 012-35-02 detects exendin-4 from human samples
- This antibody does not cross react with GLP-1, GLP-2 or glucagon
- ABS 012-35-02 has been successfully used in ELISA procedures
- The binding between ABS 012-35-02 and exendin-4 is disrupted by 4.5 M MgCl2
- ABS 012-35-02 binds to an epitope in the 9-39 amino acid region of extendin-4
- NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL Exendin-4 is a 39-amino-acid peptide found in venom from the Gila monster Helicoderma suspectum
- It is a member of the glucagon-secretin family of peptide hormones and neuropeptides
- Exendin-4 is a potent agonist of the GLP-1 receptor and hence a potent stimulator of insulin secretion.
