- Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link Amine-PEG 2 -Biotin is a biotinylation reagent that contains a 2-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm and a terminal primary amine for conjugation and protein labeling with EDC or other crosslinkers
- Amine-PEG2-Biotin and is a water-soluble biotin compound containing a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm and a terminal primary amine
- The hydrophilic PEG spacer arm imparts water solubility that is transferred to molecules that are conjugated to the biotin compound
- The PEG spacer arm also gives this reagent a long and flexible connection to minimize steric hindrance involved with binding to avidin molecules
- The amine group can be reacted with the crosslinker EDC to form conjugates with carboxylates and 5' phosphates
