Description
- General description: Native carboxypeptidase B catalyzes the release of C-terminal from basic amino acids, arginine, lysine, or ornithine from polypeptides. Inhibited by EDTA and other Zn2+ chelators.

- Unit Definition: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will hydrolyze 1.0 µmol of Hip-Arg per min at 25°C, pH 7.7.
